Course Title:              General Instructor

 

Date:                           December 8 – 11, 2025

 

Time:                          0700 - 1800

 

Course Description:

 

This course will provide the student with a DCJS basic instructor certification. This course is required to obtain all specialty instructor courses.  This is an academically demanding course in which students will be required to pass a written test as well as two classroom presentations using power point.

 

Enrollment Requirements and Prerequisites:

 

This course is pre-requisite to be enrolled for any instructor schools.  

 

Students must complete a 4-hour apprenticeship at Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy.

 

Required Equipment:

 

External hard drive

Laptop computer

 

In-Service Credit/Type:        4 hours legal/36 hours career development

 

Fee:     No fee.   Course is NOT open to non-member agencies.  Maximum class size is 20. Training hours are from 0700 – 1800.

 

Registration:  This course is open to member agency personnel only.
